About Aida

"I'm a little bit Rock and Roll..." (ok, more HipHop & Salsa)

Call me the Puerto Rican “Martha” with a frugal twist. A "free-spirit", I like to use my expertise in various areas to help people find their own unique style and expression.

As a visual artist, I have exhibited my artwork and taught art in the community, hence this studio.  I’m a writer and a poet, as well.  A friend of mine says that art is my “A” side and writing is my “B” side.  With God’s blessings, both sides seem to be a “hit”.

I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and as a freelance designer, I have designed wedding gowns and prom dresses, starting from a sketch and then sewing them through to completion.  I also have an extensive background as a Floral Designer with more than 15 years in the industry.  I owned my own little shop with my parents in Fleming Island for two years before we had to close.  I now do freelance floral design for various occasions.

Beauty and strength of women have been the greatest motivators for many of my career choices, from my backgrounds as a Fashion and Floral designer to certification as an esthetician. I really enjoy helping people, especially women feel their best.  After years of formal training and experience, I just love to share all the great knowledge I’ve gleaned to help people feel empowered in their own lives!  To me, there’s nothing like learning a new skill or looking at something and thinking –‘I can do that’ and you can! Plus, being bi-lingual, I am looking forward to helping our patrons in both Spanish and English.

Oh, what fun!

**I thank God for every part of my life, without Him, I wouldn’t have such a full and rewarding life.  All I do – I do for Him!**

Aida lives in Jacksonville with her children, her dog and their odd-eyed cat.
